My Name is Devang Panchigar aka. StorageNerve. Have been in the storage / virtualization / compute industry for several years now. The StorageNerve blog started as an experiment to compile some technical storage and virtualization data. Some months into blogging, got an invite to write for Gestalt IT, an enterprise commentary mega blog on subjects around storage / virtualization and enterprise IT. Along with writing for both StorageNerve and GestaltIT, today I am a contributor on several storage and virtualization community sites. Also have been participating in various Standard bodies, technology conferences, shows and invite only technology briefing by vendors. The active participation also enables me to collaborate with storage and virtualization experts around the globe on various levels.

In my current role as Director of Global Technology Solutions & IT Operations at Computer Data Source, Inc (A managed services, hardware/software support/services, value added reseller and a professional services organization), I get face time with our customers to talk to them about technologies and understand some challenges they have around managing their IT environments. Some focus areas for me include pre and post sales support, technology implementations, technical support, client engagements, relationship management,  operations management and enterprise architecture. Some internal organizational responsibilities include managing IT operations, strategy as it relates to corporate initiatives, partnerships, organic growth and business transformation.

My past roles at CDS have been as Director of Storage and IT Operations, Technical Support Manager, Sr. Network Engineer and Network and Systems Analyst. Prior to that I have had a role as Sr. Systems Engineer at Telcordia Technologies.

Along with some industry recognized certifications I also hold a Bachelors of Science from South Gujarat University, India and a Masters of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina A&T State University.
