The Who’s Who on LinkedIn – Storage / VMware / Cloud Computing Groups
Continuing the efforts to put together a list of various different Social Media channels for networking with Storage Folks, here is some additional information for Storage Related Groups on LinkedIn.
In the previous posts, we discussed different Storage Bloggers in the Blogosphere.
LinkedIn is another great place to network with fellow storage experts, colleagues, customers, vendors and other professional contacts.
Below are 3 categories of Groups: Storage, VMware and Cloud Computing on LinkedIn. As you join the groups below (all or just a subset), you will see the benefits of it as you can now communicate to a large group of people and get a larger set of audience for blogs, news, etc.
Being part of a group allows you to start and respond to discussions about a technology, topic within a group. With the news section a group member can take advantage to post latest news, topics, articles, post, etc. There is a Jobs section that is used by group members to post new job opening. As you join a group, you can freely communicate via email or LinkedIn to all group members. For example the Storage Professionals group has more than 3200 Storage and VMware experts throughout the world and you can communicate with any of them.

Since I initially started the Storage Professionals Group, I will take this opportunity to further promote it…. Below are the group details (On an average this group is growing by 30 to 40 storage & virtualization experts a day).
